Photographing with Eyes Closed
Klikable is an inclusive photography workshop with eyes closed that frees imagination from the predominance of eyesight and activates hearing, smell, touch and the sense of the atmosphere through our largest sense organ, our skin.
The educational programme Klikable is addressed to individuals with or without visual impairment and to professional and amateur photographers. Participants will get trained in adapted photography techniques guided by specialised instructors and will practice the method of blindfold photography, while they will have the chance to test their skills outdoors, using their digital camera or the camera of their mobile phone.
Klikable project took place for the first time in November 2018 in Athens, initiated by the cultural organization liminal in collaboration with the indian organization Beyond Sight Foundation and curated by Partho Bhowmick, and concluded with two group exhibitions.
What You Will Gain from This Workshop
The goals of Klikable are:
- to familiarize and train individuals with visual impairments in photography techniques, empowering them with skills that enhance their expressive means,
- to train professional and amateur photographers in new, adapted photography techniques and
