Become a Member of liminal’s Accessibility Quality Control Team
liminal’s Accessibility Quality Control Team is now entering its second year of active involvement in the organization’s cultural initiatives. As our team grows and our work broadens, we warmly invite people with visual impairments to join us, so that together we can help shape the Accessibility Services of the future.

What is the Quality Control Team (QCT)?
If you’re passionate about arts and culture and want to help make more works accessible to the public, you can support our efforts in developing Accessibility Services for people with visual disabilities.
liminal’s team ensures accessibility by actively involving people with disabilities throughout the process to evaluate the work before it is shared with the wider audience. These individuals make up the Quality Control Team, which:
- reviews the texts of the Audio Descriptions
- evaluates the flow of the Tactile Tours
- advises our team on accessibility solutions
- contributes ideas and actively participates in creating accessible materials
- explores new possible methods for producing accessible content
- supports communication of our activities to relevant stakeholders

Call for participation in the workshop
If you’d like to join this team, liminal invites you to participate in an open introductory workshop for the Quality Control Team. Together, we’ll explore how audio description works, what information is essential from an artistic work, how Accessibility Services are prepared, and how we evaluate a work’s accessibility.
The workshop is designed for people with visual disabilities who want to develop skills in quality control of accessibility services for artistic works presented live, digitally, or on screens. Participation in the team is voluntary and offers benefits such as gift cards, event invitations, free access to educational workshops, and more.
