Informative webinar on participating in SEED

All you need to know about the project and the application process


Would you like to learn more about SEED – Social and Ecological Engagement through Dance and how to get involved? On Thursday, July 10th, 11:00–13:00, liminal is hosting a free online webinar to present the SEED project in detail and provide all the necessary information regarding the application process.

If you are a dance artist or choreographer, with or without disabilities, and you’re interested in integrating accessibility, inclusion, and ecological awareness into your artistic practice, don’t miss it!

What will be discussed during the webinar

In this informative SEED webinar, you will learn about:

  • the organizations behind the project: liminal (Greece) and l’éveilleur (France),
  • the goals, philosophy, and content of SEED,
  • key concepts related to accessibility and ecological sustainability in dance,
  • the opportunities the project offers to dance artists and choreographers with and without disabilities,
  • practical information about the open call and the application process.

Elements from the toolkit being developed in the context of the project will also be presented, with a focus on integrating accessible, ecological, and inclusive practices in the creative process.

At the end of the session, there will be time for questions and discussion.

👉 The webinar will be conducted in Greek with interpretation into Greek Sign Language.


Speakers

Medie Megas

Dancer, choreographer, dramaturge and educator. A graduate of the Greek National School of Dance and holder of a Master of Arts in Contemporary Dance from Kent University (in affiliation with the LCDS, The Place). Since 2013, she has been consistently working in the field of dance and disability. She is a founding member of the ARSI Network for disability and dance. Following 12 years of teaching history of dance in professional dance schools, in 2024 she curated and published Present Bodies: an introduction to dance theory, a reader.

As part of SEED, she is involved in co-developing the project’s methodological toolkit and is one of the mentors/trainers of the programme.

Christos Papamichail

Founder of liminal, dramaturg and actor, with a degree from the Department of Theatre Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as a diploma from the “Praxis 7” Drama School. He has long been active in Greece and abroad as an educator, producer and creative accessibility consultant. Inclusion and accessibility in culture have shaped both his research and professional path.

In SEED, he contributes to the development of the project’s methodology connecting dance with accessibility and ecological awareness, and is one of the programme’s trainers.
