What is Beyond DisDance;

A space where art tries to integrate the social rights of disabled bodies. On the one hand, it is a platform for the presentation of contemporary performing arts by people or groups with different disabilities and on the other hand, it ensures access to theatrical spaces for audiences with different access needs.

Various access tools are provided at the festival – depending on the performance:

  • touch tours
  • built-in audio description for blind or partially sighted people,
  • subtitling and interpreting in Greek Cypriot sign language on stage

For the third consecutive year, liminal is at the side of creators , offering expertise on existing accessibility services and exploring with them customised solutions and ideas for creative accessibility, i.e. the creation of accessible works from the outset.
