The Colours of Music are back!

What would happen if each colour of the rainbow had its own music? “The Colours of Music” return to Megaron The Athens Concert Hall and invite families with children aged 3–5 to sing, dance, play and explore music with their body and imagination.

With the collaboration of liminal, the workshop becomes accessible to families with children with sensory or/and neurodevelopmental disabilities.

My first workshop

A first encounter with art in a workshop where everything is filled with joy and tenderness. Through music, children and their caregivers explore how they relate to and connect with one another.

Maya Miriam Papageorgiou, a music and drama educator, will welcome us to the Educational Hall of the Megaron The Athens Concert Hall on Saturdays 3, 10 and 17 of October at 11:00 a.m., where we will experiment with sounds, colours and movement.

As part of Megaron the Athens Concert Hall’s efforts to make its educational activities more inclusive, liminal is collaborating with the programme team to adapt the content and create an environment that supports the equal participation of children with sensory and/or neurodevelopmental disabilities.

What’s planned:

  • access to the space 20 minutes before the workshop begins, allowing children to familiarize themselves with the new environment
  • touch tour of the space and hands-on introduction to the key objects of each session, 20 minutes before the workshop begins
  • interpretation in Greek Sign Language
  • adaptation of the activities’ content so that children with visual or neurodevelopmental disabilities can fully follow and enjoy it
  • a member of the liminal team will be present at the scheduled sessions to support the facilitator in the various activities
