Arkas at Athens College
The Theatre Group of the Alumni Association of Athens College (ΣΑΚΑ) presents its new production, “Life After Low Flights”, inspired by the distinctive world of Arkas. On April 20, the performance will be accessible to D/deaf and hard of hearing audiences, with interpretation in Greek Sign Language and Surtitles provided by liminal.

The performance brings to the stage the sharp, witty, and timeless voice of this beloved creator, transforming the distinctive world of his characters into theatre with humor, sensitivity, and a keen social insight. It is a theatrical adaptation of Arkas’ comics: Isovitis, Low Flights, Castrato, Life After, Hair to Hair, and Rosa.
About the performance
Driven by a love for theatre and a desire for artistic expression, the Theatre Group of the Alumni Association of Athens College continues its journey by presenting works that engage with contemporary life. The choice of Arkas’ work is no coincidence. Through its humor and simplicity, it touches on deeper questions of human existence, relationships, and everyday life.
The production seeks to provide audiences with moments of both laughter and reflection, showcasing theatre’s ability to entertain while conveying meaningful insights.
Social contribution
The Alumni Association of Athens College is committed to making cultural events accessible to audiences who are often excluded due to a lack of accessibility services. In this context, for the second time, the performance on April 20 will include interpretation in Greek Sign Language and Surtitles for D/deaf and hard of hearing audiences, provided by liminal, as well as free admission for D/deaf and hard of hearing spectators.
