Salty

Enjoy a modern take on “The Ugly Duckling”, filled with pop references, adorable queer punk characters, and a fiercely rebellious spirit!

Poster of the animated film "Salty" by Andreas Raptis. Beneath a bright blue sky, a smiling duckling with a pink ribbon on its head and a choker around its neck looks at us, tilting its head slightly to the left. Behind it, attached to a wooden fence, hang signs reading "For Sale." At the bottom, in tightly spaced capital letters, the film’s credits are listed.

Drawing on autobiographical elements, the creator explores what it means for a child to feel disconnected, lost in an unfamiliar environment. Yet this is a story of empowerment, highlighting the beauty of belonging and acceptance, the search for personal identity, and the awakening of the mechanisms that make us stronger beings.
