Online Educational Webinars

The P.A.I.R. educational webinars aim to explore the theory of disability and digital accessibility in the arts, as well as to introduce the tools that participants will experiment with in the hands-on workshop that follows.

The topics we will focus on in the webinars are the following:

On a dark green background, with graphic elements from the P.A.I.R. program, the following information stands out in light blue letters: “Webinar Topics: Equal Participation in Culture and Disability, Accessibility: Tools and Methodology, Inclusion and Aesthetic Accessibility, Digital Art and Digital Equity.” At the bottom right, the PAIR logo appears.

The above topics will be explored across two two-hour online sessions.

The aim of the online trainings is to provide participants with a theoretical foundation on inclusion and participation in the arts, as well as an introduction to the basic accessibility tools used in cultural settings. Afterwards, they will be ready to explore these methodologies in practice and experiment firsthand with the tools and their applications in an in-person workshop.

💡 Both sessions will include time for questions and discussion and will be conducted in Greek with interpretation into Greek Sign Language.

In-Person Workshop: Creative Accessibility Methodology (CAM)

We dive in deep with a hands-on workshop dedicated to the Creative Accessibility Methodology focused on digital arts. The workshop will equip emerging artists, with or without disabilities, to work with practical accessibility tools and to develop their proposals for the upcoming open call in the next stages of P.A.I.R.

Through theoretical and practical exercises, we will explore what inclusion in the arts means and experiment with accessibility tools to discover ways of democratizing digital artworks from the perspective of the creator.

What is creative accessibility

In this free hands-on  two-day workshop, participants will have the chance to dive deeper into Creative Accessibility Methodology (CAM) —a participatory and co-creative approach that integrates accessibility into every step of the creative process.

Unlike traditional practices, accessibility tools are not added afterward but are integrated organically from the start into the artistic design, resulting in accessible, innovative works that express diverse voices.

The workshop will take place on Saturday, October 11th & Sunday October 12th, 17:00-21:00 at Impact Hub Athens, Karaiskaki 28, Athens.

👉 The workshop will be conducted in Greek with interpretation into Greek Sign Language.

Facilitators: Maria Thrasyvoulidi, Christos Papamichael
