No Borders to You(th) accessible platform is ready!

The No Borders to You(th) project, an initiative of the Portuguese Red Cross Youth with the funding of the European Union, is successfully completed! As a key partner, liminal ensured that the non-formal education activities proposed by the project as well as the platform that includes them will be accessible and inclusive.

No Borders to You(th)

With the support of all partners and within each partner’s field of expertise (Portuguese Red Cross Youth, Psychology Association of the University of Minho (APSI), Fundación Magtel, liminal), the research of the work group was based on three main axes:

  • Mental health
  • Inclusive Societies
  • Sustainable Green Europe

We have thus opened up some concentric circles that start from our relationship with and care for ourselves, then encompass our relationships with others and conclude with a focus on our environment, the community that surrounds us and of which we are a part.

Based on these axes, the web platform of the programme has been developed, proposing ways, tools and activities with which we can approach each topic.

What it brings to the fore

The innovative aspect of the No Borders to You(th) platform lies in three key elements:

  • it uses accessible tools to inform on the topics as well as a variety of communication channels to reach users with different accessibility needs.
  • it enables facilitators to organise activities with inclusive groups, providing them with advice and content that they can freely use
  • through different forms of feedback, the community itself and the working group can constantly enrich or change its content and ensure that it is always up-to-date.

A long-standing goal of liminal through its participation in this project is to open the boundaries of non-formal learning to people with and without disabilities in a way that soon, more trainers and animators with disabilities will take on the organization of such educational initiatives that are equally addressed to all.
