4ο Cycladic Kids Festival
For the first time, Cycladic Kids Festival is made accessible!
On September 26 and 27, the 4th Cycladic Kids Festival welcomes us to the Athens Municipality Arts Center at Eleftherias Park for two days filled with creative activities for children, teenagers, and families. For the first time, the Festival is made accessible in collaboration with liminal.

“I Would Like a Museum to Be…”
This year, the Museum of Cycladic Art is transforming itself and turning to its audience! Through the 13th International Kids’ Art Contest, thousands of children and teenagers from around the world responded by drawing and recording their ideas, showing us how they imagine a museum that truly belongs to them.
The 4th Cycladic Kids Festival is here to bring their ideas to life! Each Festival activity takes its title from an artwork that was awarded or recognized by the Competition’s jury. Through their participation, children and teenagers have helped shape the Festival program.

This year’s festival is designed for children aged 4 and up, teenagers, families, and adults, and offers a diverse programme of sensory workshops, screenings, performances, dance, concerts, stand-up comedy, sculpture, painting, video animation, augmented reality, and even a mobile skatepark! The Park will also welcome beloved actors, the acclaimed stand-up duo Vyronas Theodoropoulos and Michalis Mathioudakis, teenage bands, as well as fifteen groups and artists.
liminal is collaborating with the Museum of Cycladic Art to design and deliver accessibility services and adaptations, creating a festival where every visitor can find their own place.
The venue is accessible to people with mobility disabilities.
Accessibility also extends to the program, with services for selected exhibits and activities, such as:
- interpretation in Greek Sign Language (GSL), subtitles for D/deaf and hard-of-hearing people,
- audio description, materials in Braille and tactile maps for people with visual disabilities, as well as
- adaptations to the workshops and preparatory material for neurodivergent visitors.
Because that’s what the children asked for: a museum for EVERYONE!

“The Playing Sculpture” – Inclusive movement workshop
Among the many activities featured in the 4th Cycladic Kids Festival is the workshop “The Sculpture That Plays”, led by Katerina Gevetzi and Demy Papathanasiou. The workshop explores the relationship between bodies, space and the imagination.

Using inclusive dance as our vehicle, we will create our own collective sculptures and play with the way we see – how we observe, what we know about what we observe, and how we let our imagination add its own elements to what we see.
